Covid Protection Framework Protocols
The WAGS committee is continuing to prioritise the safety and wellbeing of our WAGS members and following the Government guidelines for operation.
With the recent Government announcements, we can confirm that we will be operating in Red under the Covid-19 Protection Framework from Friday 3rd December.
We are categorised under Gyms and other indoor physical activity facilities. This states that we cannot open unless we use vaccination passports for all people from the age of 12 years entering the building: This includes all staff, coaches, members, and visitors.
WAGS is in the business of gymnastics and giving the community the ability to participate in physical activity at our facility. We want to remain open to allow our members and visitors that opportunity which benefits their mental and physical wellbeing.
Under the Red and Orange levels, to remain open, we must comply with the protocols given. Please understand that we have no choice in this if we want to remain open.
What this means for WAGS from Friday Dec 3rd:·
- All coaches and staff working at WAGS will be vaccinated.·
- All members and visitors from the age of 12 years need to have a vaccination passport to enter the building.
- All parents or whanau accompanying Play Gym participants, bring proof of their vaccination passportand wear a mask.
Please no spectators, but if you do need to come into the gym please provide your Vaccinationpassport, scan, or sign in, wear a mask and sanitise.
This means that anyone over the age of 12 will need to be double vaccinated to enter the Gym.
Scanning or signing in and sanitising protocols remain in place for everyone entering WAGS.
As more information comes to light we will be acting accordingly and will communicate this as soon as possible.
